Join our dynamic team as an Access Control, Intercom & CCTV Technician, where you'll play a vital role in safeguarding facilities through expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems and IT services. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge security technology, including access control systems, surveillance cameras, security alarms, intercoms and low voltage wiring. As a key service technician, you will ensure that security infrastructure operates seamlessly, providing peace of mind for clients and stakeholders alike. Your mechanical knowledge and electrical experience will be essential in delivering top-tier service and system design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain access control, intercom systems, CCTV surveillance equipment, security alarm systems, and related low voltage infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot system issues using schematics, remote access software, and technical manuals to identify faults quickly and efficiently.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for system upgrades, repairs, and routine inspections.
- Assemble and install cabling using hand tools and power tools, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and recommend appropriate system design solutions.
- Test sensors such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), motion detectors, and other security devices to verify proper operation.
- Document all work performed through detailed reports, including system schematics, incident logs, and service records.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in security systems or related fields such as telecommunications or electrical construction.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in low voltage wiring and cabling installation is a must.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts is necessary for remote access software and system integration. Onsite repairs and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and construction plans accurately.
- Hands-on experience with Access Control, CCTV cameras, sensors, alarm systems, intercoms, and security hardware components.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools required for installation and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of NEC standards and best practices for electrical wiring and cabling installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex security systems.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients professionally.
